Brodet is a popular coastal dish from the Adriatic region of Croatia. Prepared with the freshest catch of the day which includes white fish, prawns, langoustines, octopus, calamari and whatever else the fishing crew can catch. Tradionally made with a deeply satsifying rich tomato, garlic, anchovy, onion ragu, slowly simmered to perfection. Serve with a crisp green salad, gnocchi or polenta. I also like to pair it with Greek Skordalia, the garlic creamy mash so popular with our Mediterrenean cousins down the road.
